iMeetzu is a free chat casuale site that matches you with sconosciuti for text or conversazioni video, with public chat rooms on the side. It has been around since well before Omegle closed in November 2023, and 2026 reviews describe it as still usable but no longer a mainstream choice. This review explains how iMeetzu works, how safe it is, and which alternatives are worth a look, starting with the wider field covered in La nostra guida per chattare con gli sconosciuti.

Che cos'è iMeetzu?

iMeetzu is an anonymous chat website that offers three ways to incontrare persone: random one-on-one chat di testo, random webcam chat and public group chat rooms. You can jump straight in without a profile; if a conversation stalls, you disconnect and get a new partner.

It belongs to the older generation of Omegle-style sites, so the experience is functional rather than polished. 2026 reviews report that active users have declined from its peak, which means slower matching at quieter hours. Several unofficial sites also borrow the iMeetzu name, so check the address before you chat. For a newer, better-moderated take on the same idea, see la nostra recensione di Emerald Chat.

Come funziona iMeetzu?

Getting started takes seconds:

1. Open iMeetzu in a desktop or mobile browser.
2. Choose text chat, video chat or a group chat room.
3. Confirm you are 18 or older and accept the site rules.
4. For video, allow camera and microphone access.
5. Chat, and disconnect or skip whenever you want a new partner.

An optional account lets you keep a username and friend list, but it is not needed to start.

iMeetzu features

iMeetzu covers the basics of random chat without many extras:

Caratteristica	Cosa fa	Perché è importante
chat casuale	Pairs you with a stranger for one-on-one messaging.	Low-bandwidth and private — no camera needed.
Video chat casuale	Webcam-to-webcam matching with a skip option.	Face-to-face conversation when you want it.
Group chat rooms	Public rooms where many users talk at once.	A livelier lobby when one-on-one matching is slow.
No sign-up entry	Basic chat works without an account.	Lets you try it instantly and anonymously.
Optional profile	Save a username and friends if you register.	Makes it easier to reconnect with people you like.
Segnala e blocca	Flag or block abusive users.	Your main defence in lightly moderated rooms.

Is iMeetzu free?

iMeetzu is free to use and supported by on-page advertising. Some reviews mention optional paid extras tied to an account, but the core text chat, video chat and group rooms cost nothing.

Is iMeetzu safe to use?

iMeetzu is reasonably anonymous but lightly moderated, so expect to handle much of your own safety. Independent 2026 reviews note limited reporting and enforcement, and inappropriate content can appear without warning in video chat.

Practical habits that help:

• Avvia in modalità testo if you are unsure — it exposes far less than video.
• Non condividere mai i tuoi dati personali such as your full name, phone number, school, workplace or social handles.
• Disconnect immediately if someone is explicit, pushy or asks you to move to another app.
• Ignore links posted in chat or rooms; they are a common route for scams.
• Check the URL — copycat iMeetzu sites exist.

iMeetzu is for adults only (18+). It is not suitable for minors.

iMeetzu vs other random chat sites

Here is how iMeetzu compares with popular alternatives:

Piattaforma	Modalità di chat	Costo	Eccezionale
iMeetzu	Testo, video, stanze di gruppo	Gratuito	Three modes in one old-school site
Chat di smeraldo	Text, video, group	Oro gratuito + a pagamento	Interest matching and stronger moderation
ChatHub	Video	Gratuito	Language and gender filters
Chatib	Text rooms + private chat	Gratuito	Busy text chat rooms
Chatroulette	Video	Gratuito	AI-moderated roulette pioneer

If you mainly want video, ChatHub, which we review here, offers language filters and a more modern interface. If you prefer text rooms, Chatib has a far busier community than iMeetzu’s group chat.

iMeetzu pros and cons

Professionisti

• Text, video and group chat in one place.
• Lightweight site that runs in any browser.
• Optional profile and friend list.

Contro

• Smaller, slower user pool than at its peak.
• Light moderation and limited enforcement.
• Ads take up screen space.
• Copycat domains can confuse users.

Who is iMeetzu best for?

iMeetzu suits adults who like old-school random chat and want text, video and group rooms without signing up. If you want faster matches and better moderation, compare it with the top Omegle alternatives, oppure prova quello di AnonCam video chat gratuita — no sign-up, 18+ only.

iMeetzu review verdict

iMeetzu still does what it always did: free, anonymous text and video chat with strangers, plus group rooms. But its community has thinned, moderation is light and the interface feels dated next to newer sites. We rate it 3,0 su 5 — worth a look for nostalgia or text chat, but most people will get better conversazioni elsewhere.
